Originally written for piano by Isaac Albeniz (1860-1909) and beautifully scored by Scott Roudebush, this lilting Spanish dance calls for smooth bow changes and a rather casual, carefree approach. True to the tango style, it also requires graceful transitions between duple and triple rhythms, and the ability to negotiate dramatic ritards and fermatas together as a unified whole. |
